
Rachel Prohaska, OTR
Rachel is the owner of Cub Cave Pediatric Therapy and a practicing occupational therapist. She graduated from The University of Texas Medical Branch with a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy in 2015. Prior to that, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Baylor University. Since entering the field of occupational therapy, Rachel has worked with children and their families in a private outpatient clinic in Plano. She has also spent time collaborating with teachers and other disciplines in preschools, public/private schools, and ABA clinics. Rachel specializes in treating children with autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder, attention deficit disorder/attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and gross and fine motor challenges. She has training and certifications in Handwriting Without Tears, Integrated Listening Systems, Interactive Metronome, SOS Approach to Feeding, DIR Floor Time, and The Alert Program. She also completed the Level I Intensive Mentorship at the STAR Institute for Sensory Processing Disorder under the instruction of Lucy Jane Miller. Outside of work, Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband, Trey, and two children, Payton and Cameron.

Ashley Alexander-Bower, OTR
Ashley graduated from Texas Tech School of Allied Health with a degree in Occupational Therapy in 1997. She has been a pediatric OT in the Frisco area since 2006. Ashley specializes in treating babies, children, and teenagers with torticollis, gross motor delays, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, sensory processing disorder, emotional regulation struggles, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, hearing loss, oral motor deficits, feeding difficulties, and vestibular disorders. Ashley truly loves working with children and feels it is her calling to help children and their families. Working with the family is crucial for achieving a child’s goals and helping a child reach their highest potential. Helping families incorporate sensory and motor activities in everyday life to enhance development is important. Ashley helps families achieve this in easy, manageable ways. She also specializes in counseling families, determining recommendations for therapy and schooling based on her personal experiences with her own 4 children and living in the area navigating the school districts, both professionally and personally. Ashley has her certifications in Neurodevelopmental Training (NDT) in pediatrics, Kinesiotaping, Interactive Metronome, The Listening Program, InTime program, Therapeutic Listening, and in the Sensory Integration and Praxis Testing training (SIPT). Ashley also has extensive experience with handwriting difficulties and uses the Handwriting Without Tears program. She also has training in visual processing difficulties, which can impact learning and many children with learning disabilities struggle in this area. Last of all, Ashley has extensive specialized training in oral motor and feeding. She has training with the Beckman Oral Motor Treatment and SOS-Approach to Feeding. Ashley enjoys spending time with her four children, Clayson, Harrison, Anderson, and Emme.
